Hey guys!
So, we have made the difficult decision to close the office for the remainder of the week. We wanted to keep everyone updated on what’s going on and why we decided to make this decision and because you guys are like family to us, we didn’t want you guys to worry!

First, I love being able to show up for each and every one of you every single day. I show up during our open hours to adjust, pray over, and support each and every one of you. And when we’re closed, I spend countless hours coaching people on their health virtually. Dr. Rebecca on the back end does everything to keep our doors open and our office running, while helping so many women virtually all at the same time. And what we're about to share is about the ways we give but perhaps haven't taken the best care of ourselves.

Last week, on Sunday night, Dr. Rebecca and I indulged in some raw paleo cookie dough. One of our favorite brands and a brand we’ve never had any issues with eating raw before. Unfortunately, we got food poisoning. That night Dr. Rebecca was up all night with nausea, vomiting, and feeling sick immediately after eating it. I woke up the next morning and was nauseas, vomiting, and sick all day. Therefore, we closed the office on Tuesday. My hope was to have enough time to recover from our experience. All the digestive symptoms cleared up and went away and I was ready to jump back in to serve!

But after two days of showing up at the office with a completely full schedule and without proper nourishment or hydration—Thursday night, I began to feel unwell in a different way. If I’m being honest with you, Dr. Rebecca and I did not take the time nor have proper sleep to recover the way we should. We jump into whatever is needed from us and serve… but we quite frankly cannot do that from a place of not being fully rested and back on our feet. And so, we decided to close the office on Friday so we both could focus on recovery.

The food poisoning knocked us out more than we were expecting, and our immune systems, body, and mind are needing time to strengthen and recover.  And for the first time in 7 years of being open, we are prioritizing rest and recovery so that we can show up to be the best doctor for each and every one of you.

It’s hard for me to do this, and Dr. Rebecca has to kick me in the butt sometimes (like now), but we both need this more than ever to continue to show up for each of you.

If you have any questions or emergencies while we are closed, please don’t hesitate to text myself (423-582-9092) or Dr. Rebecca (423-582-9812). The team will also be in the office throughout the week answering any voicemails or emails that they receive.

We appreciate each and every one of you! And when we get back in the office, we’ll share everything we did to get ourselves back on track.

Thank you for being patient with us!
